Our story

Welcome to Grace's Day Nursery and thank you for taking the time to read a little bit about us.

I am Joanna Laddie and in 2000 I qualified as a doctor, since August 2001 I have worked in paediatric medicine and in 2003 I completed my paediatric sub-speciality examinations. In November 2006, I started the hardest part of my training- I became a mother and nothing could have prepared me for the highs and lows, hopes and anxieties that motherhood had in store. Without doubt it has been the most challenging and yet most rewarding job in the world. Like many mothers however, the joys of new motherhood were disrupted when I had to return to work and as a result had to find somebody to entrust with caring for my daughter. I looked into many different childcare options and felt that a nursery was best for us as a family and then set about the task of finding the right one. I soon discovered that although there were lots of nurseries to choose between, finding the one that was right for our family was very hard. We wanted an environment that was safe yet not restrictive, nurturing, diverse, stimulating and that encouraged personal growth and development for each child as an individual.

It was with this in mind that when the opportunity to convert this fantastic property into a children's day nursery arose, I jumped at the chance.

If you would like to talk to me to discuss any aspects of the nursery, then please do not hesitate to email me at info@gracesdaynursery.co.uk or call me on 020 8300 7460. I look forward to hearing from you.

With warmest regards,

Jo Laddie
